Teach an adult to read. Inspire the world to change. Volunteer today!
Placentia Library District provides one-to-one tutoring for English Literacy and Computer Literacy. All tutoring sessions are held in the Placentia Library.
Open to adults who need basic reading, writing and functional literacy skills. English literacy tutoring at Placentia Library is a six-month to one-year program, where the students focus on achieving personal goals through reading and writing practice. English Literacy tutoring can be viewed as a stepping stone to other educational opportunities, such as a community college course, GED testing, an ESL program, or U.S. citizenship.
- Lynn Krisinger, Placentia Library Literacy Tutor
