Library Director Message (October 3, 2025)
Dear Placentia Library Patrons,
Libraries are more than buildings with books, they are where learning lives and grows, for all ages, in all forms. And sometimes, learning grows best under the open sky.
We are thrilled to invite you to the grand opening of our outdoor learning experience (ole), a vibrant, nature-based space designed to inspire generations to explore, dream, and discover in the most joyful ways.
At its heart, the OLE is an extension of the District’s mission to inspire, open minds, innovate, and connect our community. The project was made possible partly through the generosity and vision of Assemblymember Phillip Chen, whose support helped transform this idea into a flourishing reality. We are so grateful for Assemblyman Chen’s belief in the power of libraries.
Parking is available at Civic Center and on All America Way.
Join us as we unveil a fresh way to explore, dream, and discover, outdoors. Meet our team, the folks who made the vision a reality, and celebrate the amazing new chapter with your Placentia Library District.
Respectfully,
Jeanette Contreras
Library Director
