Did you know your Placentia Library card provides you free access to some of the best digital resources, apps and websites available today? Find eBooks and digital music, audiobook and movie resources, as well as digital lifelong learning and student resources.

Many of our online resources are available through web or mobile apps.

Our online resources may require your Placentia Library card and PIN, which is usually the last 4 digits of your phone number. To reset your PIN, please visit our catalog and select "Log In" and then select "Forgot my PIN," or follow this guide.

Don't have a library card? Apply for a Placentia Library card in-person at the library, or apply for a virtual card online.

June 2025 Updates

Please note the following digital resource updates:

Access to Kanopy, Freegal and the New York Times Online will end on June 30, 2025. Additionally, due to high demand for our Hoopla service, we have implemented a daily Hoopla checkout limit. When the day’s borrowing limit is reached, a notification will be displayed on the checkout screen stating that the library’s borrowing limit has been reached for the day and will reset at midnight.
