The Placentia Library District is excited to announce our Employee of the Year: Elizabeth, Children's Services Library Assistant! We announced our Employee of the Year, as well as our five nominees, at our annual Staff Appreciation Dinner, which had a murder-mystery dinner theme.
Elizabeth was nominated by her colleagues for always bringing a positive, caring and collaborative attitude for her programs, including bilingual storytime, family events at the library and more. The library Board of Trustees also celebrated staff members who celebrated milestones at the library this past year, as well as thanked Katie, Adult Services Librarian, for her 40+ years of service and wishing her a fantastic retirement.
Congrats again to all our library staff members for always wanting to go above and beyond for our community, as well as to the library Board of Trustees for generously supporting and empowering our staff. The Board of Trustees is the library's governing board and includes Board President Gayle Carline, Board Secretary Sherri Dahl, Trustee Scott Nelson, and Trustee Stephanie Beverage.
