2015 Summer Reading Program: “Read to the Rhythm”

Apr 18, 2015

Placentia, CA- Summer is peeking around the corner and the Placentia Library is gearing up for our annual Summer Reading Program. Every year our events and programs keep growing larger! This year’s theme, “Read to the Rhythm” is a playful reminder to take a bit of time out of our busy lives to read, learn, and have fun! All members of your household are invited to join in the summer reading festivities. Adults can participate by reading books to garner raffle opportunities to win fabulous prizes. This year, two lucky grand prize winners will each take home a mini iPad. There will also be fun and informative programs. Mark your calendar for the Summer Reading Kickoff on June 14th which will be highlighted by hands-on drumming fun for everyone with Free to Be Me Drum Circle. On July 23rd, find out why opera has been such a popular art for generations. Talented artists from CSUF’s Opera Department will explain and sing a selection of popular arias and musical theater classics. The Summer Reading Celebration on August 15th will close out the 2015 Summer Reading Program. Be prepared for a rollicking good time --train rides, bounce house, puppet show, storytime, food, BINGO, face painting, games, crafts, photo booth, pony rides--all provided FREE to the community as a thank you for participating in the Placentia Library’s Summer Reading Program. Let’s make Summer 2015 a memorable one!
